Hints:
1. Identify the problem. Make a list of keywords that you can use to search.
2. Research using current and authoritative information resources that are recommended in your pathfinder.
3. Examine all sides of the issue.
4. Use all media resources - videos, interviews, magazine articles, books, etc. Be selective- get info from current sources.
4. Bring it all home by coming up with suggested resoulutions and solutions.

It is important for you to keep in mind that an initial topic may not be the exact topic which you end up writing about. Research topics are often fluid, and dictated more by your ongoing research than by the original chosen topic. Brainstorming is often a successful way for you to get some of these ideas down on paper. Seeing one's ideas in writing is often the impetus for the writing process.
To search for local information- type in the name of the ethnic culture you are researching then use the booleon search word "and" followed by Honolulu Star Advertiser. Example: Vietnamese cooking and Honolulu Star Advertiser.
